Sound familiar

9-2
by half time.

  1. 01

    The playground pick

Ten minutes of "go on then, you have them" before anyone kicks a ball. Same two people picking. Same player picked last.

  2. 02

    The thrashing

One team stops trying, the other stops passing. Forty minutes nobody enjoys, and the walk back to the car is quiet.

  3. 03

    The group chat inquest

Someone always reckons the teams were stitched up. Usually whoever lost. And it rumbles on until Thursday.

Lopsided games are how a weekly kickabout dies.

Fair teams
in five taps.

  1. 1

    Build your squad

Add your regulars once. First names, nicknames welcome.

  2. 2

    Rate them privately

Pace, shooting, defending, keeping. Only you ever see it.

  3. 3

    Tap who's in

Ten? Twelve? Fourteen? bibs works with whoever turns up.

  4. 4

    Generate the teams

Balanced properly, not randomly, with a score out of 100.

  5. 5

    Share the teamsheet

One tap into the group chat. Teams announced, job done.

The bibs squad screen showing twelve players, each with a private overall rating, a role label such as ATTACKING, DEFENSIVE or GK, and a form word like ON A ROLL or COLD

Your players never download a thing. The teamsheet lands in the chat like any photo, and anyone who wants the tables taps your invite link.

A season that
builds itself.

One tap after the game logs who won. From there the table and the form guide grow on their own, week after week, until your kickabout has a proper season behind it.

The bibs rankings screen showing a win percentage table for the whole season, with played, won, drawn and lost columns
The bibs form guide showing each player's last five results as coloured W, D and L markers

The win % table

Played, won, drawn, lost and win percentage for every player, ranked, all season long.

The form guide

Everyone's last five games as W, D and L. You can see who is flying and who has gone quiet at a glance.

Every result counts

The same results quietly nudge each player's hidden form, so next week's teams already know who is hot.

What a player sees with an invite link: the next game, the last result, the top three by win percentage and the in-form list, with no squad tab and nothing to edit

Players can
follow it all.

Send one invite link. Anyone who taps it makes a free account and gets the season read-only: the next game, every result, the win percentage table and the form guide.

No app store, no match fee, nothing to configure. They just watch the table move.

  • They see matchdays, results, the table and the form guide
  • They never see ratings, and never see the hidden form
  • Only you build the squad, rate players and pick the teams

Why gaffers
pick bibs.

  1. 01

    Ratings stay private

Players can never see how you have rated them. No leaderboards of shame, no bruised egos, no awkward pints.

  2. 02

    Balanced, not random

A random team generator just shuffles names. bibs weighs up your whole squad, factors in who is in form, and builds two sides that can actually match each other.

  3. 03

    Nothing to download

bibs runs in the browser. Your players just get a teamsheet in the chat, and anyone who wants more can follow the tables with an invite link.

  4. 04

    Teamsheets worth sharing

Every matchday gets a proper tournament-style graphic, not a screenshot of a spreadsheet. It does the announcing for you.

  5. 05

    Results feed the balance

One tap after the game logs who won. The tables build week by week, and every result quietly nudges each player's hidden form so the next teams reflect who is flying and who is struggling.

  6. 06

    Free. Actually free

No per-match player fees, no locked features, no card details. Free for the gaffer and free for every player.

Built by a gaffer,
not a software
company.

bibs comes from a real Monday night game that has run for years. Same pitch, same group chat, same argument about the teams every single week.

Picking fair sides by hand was the one job that never got easier. So bibs was built to do it properly: rate the squad once, keep it private, and let the balance take care of itself. It has been picking the teams for Oldman Non-Athletic ever since.

Quick answers

Do my players need to download an app?

No, there's nothing to download. bibs runs in the browser. The teamsheet lands in the group chat like any photo, and any player who wants to follow the win percentage and form tables all season taps the invite link and makes a free account. No app store, no fees. Only the gaffer builds the squad, rates players and picks the teams.

Can players see their ratings?

Never. Ratings are private to the gaffer, that is a hard rule built into bibs. Players only ever see teams, results and rankings.

Is bibs free?

Yes. Free for the gaffer, free for players, no match fees and no locked features.

What team sizes does it work for?

bibs is built for small-sided football: 5-a-side, 6-a-side and 7-a-side, including uneven turnouts when eleven show up for a tens.
